Rebecca Prada, DVM
Veterinarian/Chief of Staff
Dr. Rebecca Prada throughout childhood had a strong interest in working with animals and grew up working at numerous animal shelters, hospitals, grooming and boarding facilities. She graduated cum laude from The College of Wooster with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. During her time at the College of Wooster, she researched and wrote a thesis on the effects of different diets on the intestinal tract of chickens and turkeys, and milked cows at the agriculture school nearby. She earned her DVM degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. Dr Prada joined Animal Medical Centre of Medina after graduation and has been here ever since.
Dr Prada loves tackling new cases and enjoys working with clients and helping them better understand and care for their pets. Her veterinary interests continue to grow. She loves working on allergy and gastroenterology issues and preforming surgery (soft tissue and orthopedics). Dr Prada is certified by Ardent Animal Health to administer fat-derived stem cell therapy for pain/arthritis management. She is also excited to care for pocket pets and adores working with cats and is a member of AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners).
Dr. Prada enjoys yoga, running, tennis and dance parties with her daughter. Over the years, Dr Prada has brought home animals without checking with her husband. Currently she had success bringing home a cat, betta fish, rabbit and a mouse. Do you think she can get away with a llama next?
