Dr. Rebecca Prada-Smanik graduated cum laude from The College of Wooster with a degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Prada-Smanik grew up in North Olmsted, Ohio. She graduated from Magnificat High School in Rocky River. Throughout her childhood she had a strong passion and interest in working with animals. Dr. Prada-Smanik has worked at numerous animal shelters and hospitals as well as grooming facilities.
During her time in College of Wooster she researched and wrote a thesis on the effects of different diets on the intestinal tract of chickens and turkeys and also milked cows at the agriculture school nearby.
Currently Dr. Prada-Smanik lives in Brecksville with her husband Tim and their cat Lex. She enjoys going for walks, playing tennis, watching movies and spending time with family.
Her veterinary interests include gastroenterology, nutrition and surgery. She enjoys working with clients and helping them better understand and care for their pets.
